Thomas Liu
Director & Principal Consultant, B&E Training Consultant Ltd.

Thomas has more than 20 years’ working experience in sales, customer service, and most of all in training.  With the rich sales and management experience, he facilitated numerous organizational development and cultural change programs for various corporate customers.

In his 13 years with PCCW, particularly in the capacity of Training Services Manager in Corporate Training & Development, Thomas  contributed to the achievement of these milestone projects:

  • Meeting the Challenge – mindset changes from monopoly to achievement-based sales culture.
  • Service Culture – mindset and skill based transformation to achieve total customer satisfaction.
  • Executive education – training & development curriculum for senior managers and executives.
  • Telecom Consultancy – training engineers into sales consultants, from a local to a global perspective.

After setting up his own company in 2004, Thomas has been involved in a number of organizational development projects.  A recent example is the consultancy and training service provided to a world-renowned automobile company to launch its service campaign in Beijing, Dalian, Xian and Urumqi.  The company went through the cultural change through a service management program, front-line service skills training and a train-the-trainer knowledge transfer program.

In terms of sales training, Thomas has comprehensive experience in helping companies to improve their sales efficiencies and effectiveness.  In the higher end, he has facilitated numerous Power Base Selling®, Total Account Management and Strategic Account Management workshops for Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, AT&T, Intel, Cisco, Honeywell, Xilinx, Capgemini, HP, etc.  On the skills training level, he has helped sales professionals to brush up their customer interaction, telephone and face-to-face selling skills with a counselor approach.

The industries Thomas has worked with include multi-national corporations in manufacturing, electronics, banking, garment, fast moving consumer goods and container terminals.

Thomas has a Bachelor’s Degree as well as a Diploma of Training Management, both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Over the years, he has been licensed to run 9 world-recognized management and sales programs.  On sales training, he was certified with Holden International’s  Power Base Selling® and ValuBase Territorial Selling®, and also with Wilson’s Learning’s Counselor Salesperson® and Versatile Salesperson®.  On management and leadership training, he is the accredited trainer in Effective Negotiation Skills®, Think On Your Feet® and Situational Leadership II®. 

With proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Thomas has been conducting workshops in all three languages in Hong Kong, China and other Asian cities.  Recently Thomas completed an Executive Education Program in Management Studies from Tsinghua University.
